संकीर्त्तयेद्वा लिखेद्वा श्रावयेच्छ्रुणुयादपि ।
सर्वकामप्रदा लक्ष्मीः स्थिरा भवति तद्गृहे॥
The phala-śruti of the "Toyādri Māhātmyam" beautifully states that whoever reads, recites, or even listens to this sacred account is blessed with all desired benefits and the enduring grace of Goddess Lakṣmī.
Such divine grace marked the lecture on “Toyādri Māhātmyam” by Dr. V. Preethi, Assistant Professor, KSRI, which was successfully conducted at the Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Hall, Sanskrit College, Mylapore on 9th December 2025. This event was organised under the Subadra Memorial,
K. Balasubrahmanya Iyer and K. Chandrasekharan Endowments.
Dr. Preethi led the audience through her research on Thiruneermalai (Śrī Toyādri) — drawing from the Epigraphical references, an unpublished manuscript and references in works such as the Rāmānuja Campu and Sarvadeva Vilāsa Campu. She also shed light on the hill’s distinctive flora and fauna, its temple architecture and the devotional significance celebrated by the Āḻvārs.
We are delighted to share that the Toyādri Mahātmya Edition of the unpublished manuscript will soon be published by The KSRI with support from the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi
